We survived Black Friday, and came away with quite a few bargains :) We walked and walked and walked some more and realised we were the only people in Vegas who weren't wearing cold weather gear........it's about 50 or so degrees, shirt sleeve weather for us Brits, but for the residents of Las Vegas its positively freezing and they are all wearing heavy winter coats, we even saw some wearing ski jackets yesterday. Every cab you get in has the heater on full blast - we're finding it all very amusing :)
We also popped out yesterday to the shops to pick up one more thing........well we managed to find a few more bargains LOL and so came back with yet more bags to cram into the suitcases, good job we came with 2 cases each and they were less than half full - I think they're going home pretty full and I haven't even started the fabric shopping yet.
On Tuesday we pick up the hire car and the fabric shopping can start in earnest. It will be local quilt stores and Joann's on Tuesday and then on Wednesday we are going to Quilt In A Day in San Diego. I have my wish list all ready and am sooo looking forward to it, plus we're also looking forward to the drive. We've often driven from Los Angeles to Vegas and love the scenery and the long straight highways.......plus it will also be nice to pop to the coast and dip our toes in the ocean.
Hope you are all having a great Sunday and the snow isn't giving you too much grief in the UK.
