.......are a time for relaxing, recharging the batteries, enjoying the sunshine (sorry England), spending quality time with each other and of course SHOPPING!!!!!
Well so far I have relaxed, recharged, tanned, had fun and shopped......I've even driven the monster truck without incident LOL. I love the American system of hiring a car, you book an SUV and they tell you to pick whatever one in the lot you'd like......I, of course, encouraged Ross to pick the largest one, thinking ahead to how many suitcases it was going to have to hold on the drive back to LA, but completely forgot I'd have to drive the thing.....we have a Ford Expedition and I am just thankful for straight roads, huge parking bays and when in doubt, valet parking :) Acutally, the car isn't that bad (going forwards) but when you look in the rear view mirror, the back of the car seems a mile away....but it's a lovely comfortable drive and I feel like king of the road in it LOL.
I have managed to do a little fabric shopping, I was quite restrained as I am fully aware that I have a large studio at home, bursting with fabric.....note to self - I must do some fabric organising when I get home......and I also want to buy some yarn for my new found love of crochet. I have picked up some crochet cotton already, for doilies, but I need to stock up on some wool/cotton for blankets etc.
From one store Fabric Boutique all the fat quarters were 50% off, so I got 20 fat quarters and 2 bundles of fat quarters......73 fat quarters in all, and it worked out to just about £1 per fat quarter - bargainous.....from a second store Quiltique I bought 3 kits, which were also great value for money :)
Today, we are having a day off from the pool (and heat) and are going Outlet shopping, so a little drive out, a lot of shopping and then home to go and see The Rat Pack Is Back later. We went to see Viva Elvis the other night, WOW what a show....probably the BEST SHOW I have seen in Vegas so far and of course I had to buy a little memorabilia...
It's really only big enough for a credit card and lippy, but hey, you don't need more than that do you????
