Caught up!!!!

I did it, I caught up on the Quilty Fun Sew Along.  I'm loving this quilt already, the blocks are all so different and I've loved making every one of them, they are not hard at all....in fact I've enjoyed it so much that I'm a little disappointed I have to wait until Monday to make the next one LOL.

So now I'm up to date with this Sew Along, I'm now off to make a start on the Wishes Quilt Along run by Fat Quarter Shop.  It is for a great cause...are you joining in???

At last!!!

I am finally joining in with the Quilty Fun Sew Along.  I may be seven weeks late but I plan on catching up over this weekend and the coming week, if need be :)

I bought Lori Holt's book Quilty Fun a few months ago when it first came out, but with Christmas fast approaching, I didn't have time to do more than flick through it with a coffee in hand.  I liked what I saw though and then Fat Quarter Shop's blog the Jolly Jabber ran a sew along and blog tour using the Quilty Fun book.  Well, I thought to myself, I just have to do that....but I just couldn't find the time, but HOORAY I am finally ready to dive in and catch up.  You can follow/join in over at Jolly Jabber or check out the Quilty Fun Sew Along and Blog Tour Flickr page.

I have a few hours to myself this afternoon so lets see how much I can get through today.....I may be gone a while :)

2014 and all is cosy :)

I can honestly say that so far this year I have been very productive LOL

First off the new sewing machine (which I LURVE by the way) is a cosy for Charley's teapot.  I've had the pattern for a while now but only just got around to making it and I have to say I love this, I'm now going to have to make one for myself....personally I think every home should have one :)

I'm not planning on slacking off any time soon.  I joined a birdhouse block swap with my friends in the USA and have just made up a sample block, so I think I'm all good with how I'm going to make the block and now I just need to make 20 of them and get them posted by the beginning of March.

I am also planning on finishing my Civil War Love Letters quilt, there are 121 blocks in total and I think, at last count, I had made 72, so not that many more to go!!!!

Of course in between there will be other projects that pop up and catch my eye, not to mention the Dear Jane quilt I started, the english paper pieced hexagon quilt, my Mystery BOM and learn how to use the embroidery kit on my machine, which will open up a whole new wealth of things to make.....there are just not enough hours in the day/week/month/year!!!!
